Well, today you will all have to put up with reading me again (Catherine) as I figure its my turn. Today was our first full day in Sydney. Our day began with a HUGE breakfast that we got at the hotel and had on the veranda just outside our room with views of the harbour. It was so huge that the girl who brought it in had to go back into the hall to get the other giaganitc tray to bring it in our room. We ate to out hearts content and saved all the fruit for tomorrows breakfast. (were so smart) . After that we had a wonderful adventure touring around “the Rocks” area. We meandered through the Royal Botanical Gardens and ended up at the Opera House where we did a nice tour. We are still thinking about taking in a show there tomorrow night but havent fully decided. The one we are thinking about seeing is called “39 Steps” which is a comedy based on the Hitchcock film. The interesting thing is that there are only 4 actors playing over 100 roles in just over 100 min so it is quite something. Afterwards we happened upon a Lidnt chocoltier…. well, we could hardly let that opportunity pass us by could we, so, chocolate cake with hot chocolate it was. mmmm. Afterwards, as the sun was setting we went to Sydney tower for some great views over the city and ended our day at a quaint pub like restaurant in the old part of the city where you grill your own meat to have with a salad bar. So it seems that today was about sights and yes…food. lots of food. We like Sydney. mmmmm

I was just at Staples and met a woman from Australia and told her about your trip. She was amazed at all the places you’ve been and said you must be real tired.
I hope you go see 39 Steps. I would really like to see it. I went to see Mama Mia a couple of nights ago. When I got there I looked around and except for a couple of men the theater was packed with women. It was good to hear their spontaneous laughter. I really enjoyed it and had a good laugh at Pierce Brosnan (?) singing. It was awfu even with my untrained ear. I’m sure many laughed just at his voice.
Glad to hear your adventures are going well. Have you been keeping a journal. You could fill it with just the food you have been eating. Dogs, Dad and me are still doing fine. I watched three McLeod’s daughters last night.
See you next week,
I will have to leave soon after you get here as I have to be in Tofino on the 27th. So I will leave the evening you get here or early the next morning. Drew awaits.

All is well here except, when a woman at the London Drugs parking lot asked me for a ride home, because she had been waiting too long for a taxi, stole my wallet.
My fault. When she climbed into the van I through my purse into the back seat. Unfortunately I thought mywallet was in it. Then later when I went looking for it, it was gone. Not too much money in it but just the hassle of getting a new driver’s license etc. Oh well. No more Mrs. Nice Guy!!
Dad and I had lunch at Joey Onlies and have been having a good time visiting. It is nice to spend some time here and I can’t believe the time has gone by so fast.
I’ll pick you up at the airport. I think the arrival time was ten something in the am. I will check and be there.
